The Apple iPad is fast becoming a great tool for use on any boat, with cost effective applications for navigation, weather and other essentials. However, with this in mind, it all raises the likelihood of placing your iPad in harm’s way. Digital Marine is proud to introduce the new super tough, waterproof iPad case to provide excellent protection against water ingress, hard impacts, scratches and dust.
Designed and manufactured in Germany from tough polyamide material the case meets IP67 specs for waterproofing and MIL810F for dust protection. It’s designed for the Apple iPad 1 or iPad 2. It keeps the touchscreen, rear camera (iPad2) and all the buttons operable with removable waterproof plugs allowing charging or headphone access. The case is easily opened for removal or installation of the iPad in seconds, without tools.
There is a "Quick-snap" bracket available for mounting using Ram-Mounts with palm or shoulder straps also available. The cases come in black or white with custom colours available for volume orders.
