World's First Handheld Power Barnacle Remover

Wave Craft Pty Ltd are proud to introduce the Waveblade, the world's first hand held power barnacle remover!  The Waveblade is designed to be used both above and below the water up to 15ft (4.6m) deep.  Read on for the exciting features:

Sprung Steel Scraper Blade

The black sprung steel blade is an ideal multipurpose blade for use on a number of substrates above the waterline such as metal, fibreglass and concrete. It is chemically coated to prolong life and the unique tapered design ensures flexibility whilst retaining enough strength to remove barnacles and fouling effortlessly.

Powerful Oscillating Head

Completely Waterproof Rated to 15' Depth

The Waveblade is designed to be used below the water or in the boat yard. In areas of high marine growth where a boat might have to be dry docked or lifted many times a year, the Waveblade can save you time and expense by being able to use it while the boat is on the mooring. 15' depth also allows the bottom of deep V hull boats to be easily reached by the Waveblade.

Sensitive Touch Switch Operation

The switch has been designed to reduce hand fatigue by being extremely sensitive and light to the touch. This ensures that when de-fouling large hulls or in cold conditions your hand doesn't start to ache or cramp.

Protective Aluminium Knuckle Guard

The heavy duty aluminium knuckle guard carefully protects the backs of the hands from sharp barnacles and fouling during operation. The carefully designed curved surface ensures that you can achieve the correct angle with the Waveblade and stay protected at the same time.

Ergonomic Body

The ergonomic body has been designed with a tapered body, which ensures it can fit easily and comfortably in the hand of all users. The body incorporates the latest soft grip overmould techniques, adding to the comfort and providing extra grip for difficult conditions.

Lanyard Attachment Point

For keen underwater users a lanyard attachment point is invaluable to make sure your Waveblade doesn't go missing, or for land based users it saves putting the tool down during de-fouling. It also doubles as a convenient storage method being able to hang it up in the workshop and the water will simply drain away from the body ensuring long life.

Simple Blade Changing

The Waveblade has been designed with both above and below the water users in mind. The simple to change mechanism allows blades to be changed in seconds and only requires a quick turn with an allen key (supplied) and the Waveblade is ready to go!  The Waveblade has four different blade options:

3" Multi Purpose Scraper

The 3" scraper is an ideal blade for bulk removal on a multitude of large flat surfaces such as hulls and propellers, and is compatible with fibreglass, concrete, and steel surfaces. It is available in black coated steel for above the waterline, and Stainless steel for submerged use.

3" Delicate Surface Multi Purpose Scraper

A more delicate scraper for use on wooden hulls and vulnerable surfaces. The 3" blade ensures efficient coverage of large areas ideally suited for hulls. This scraper has a leading edge plastic guard which ensures that no accidental damage occurs to weak or vulnerable surfaces. It is available in black coated steel for above the waterline, and Stainless steel for submerged use.

Half Round Scraper

The half round scraper is designed to remove fouling and debris from boat drive shafts, anodes, and other small diameter structures. Its crescent shape makes it perfectly suited to this application. It is available in black coated steel for above the waterline, and Stainless steel for submerged use.

Flat Chisel Scraper

The flat chisel scraper is designed to remove fouling and debris from hard to reach places or where space is limited. Its thin design makes it ideal for squeezing into small places, nooks and crannies. It is available in black coated steel for above the waterline, and stainless steel for submerged use.
